Continuity of guardianship from Ibrahim to Imam Mahdi
The achievement of all righteous children of Abraham to the Imamate
The descendants of Abraham are either righteous or unjust: “And some of their children are righteous and some are openly unjust to themselves” (Surah Fosselat verse 113).
A righteous person is good both to himself and to others, so he who does good to others; And he is unjust to his own life, he is not righteous. Reflecting on what has passed and incorporating this noble verse that God said to Abraham: “My covenant will not reach the wrongdoers” (Surah Baqarah verse 124), we understand that the obligation of Imamate has reached the righteous children of that Prophet.
Because after such a division in the progeny of the Holy Prophet and the statement that the obligation of Imamate does not reach the oppressors, the assumption that this divine covenant does not belong to the righteous means that the division and this restriction will be futile.
And since the speech of God’s Holy Essence is free from any nonsense, such an assumption is fundamentally false.
Based on the mentioned argument, the obligation of Imamate has reached all righteous children of Prophet Ibrahim; This means that all the prophets and divine saints who are descended from that Imam are also Imams. Although in the Qur’an, the leadership of many Abrahamic prophets such as Moses, Jesus or Muhammad is not specified, based on the evidence mentioned, it can be said with certainty that all the righteous descendants of that Prophet, from Ishmael and Isaac to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad and from that blessed existence to the end of the universe, Imam Mahdi has reached the position of Imamate.

The manifestation of the bright lights of guardianship and imamate (in formation and legislation) in the holy existence of the seal of the prophets, Prophet Muhammad is brighter than the sun’s rays, therefore no one can ever deny the continuity of the obligation of imamate and the position of prophethood regarding him.
Yes, the illusion of emancipation of human beings from the legal guardianship after the death of Prophet Muhammad has occupied the minds of some people and made them think that although the brilliant chain of Imamate and guardianship continued from Prophet Abraham to the existence of the Blessed Seal of the Prophets, but with the passing away of his honorable existence, this dynasty also ended and mankind was freed from it after every legal guardianship!
This illusion is wrong and this idea is wrong because the successors of the prophets, especially the infallible imams from the descendants of the Holy Prophet of Islam, although they are not prophets, have a prophet-like presence: they are not given divine revelation to bring a new ruling; But from the position of the guardianship, they do prophetic work because the inner guardianship of the prophets is also present and visible in the infallible Imam. This guardianship is not only a spiritual guardianship based on the closeness of the laws, but also a legislative guardianship and guardianship of the nation that never declines: “Your guardian is only God and His Messenger and those who believed; Those who perform prayer and give zakat while bowing” (Surah Ma’idah verse 55).

The holy presence of Prophet Muhammad in Ghadir Khum insisted on this guardianship and said: “Am I ahead of you?” And after everyone’s positive answer, he said: “So whoever I am the master of, this Ali (Imam Ali) is his master.”
Based on what has been said, from the judgment between people to the explanation and interpretation of the verses of the divine word, and in one sentence, what a living and dynamic society needs is under the guardianship of an infallible guardian, and after the death of the great prophet,
This guardianship and imamate came to the blessed existence of Imam Ali, and the speech of such succession is the speech of the Prophet and God, and in the place of reasoning, he brings arguments, and when it is time to speak, he expresses God’s ruling with wisdom, preaching, and excellent debate. What he considers right is right and whatever he considers wrong will be wrong.
If the people and the conditions of the time are with him, he will also take over the apparent government and by taking charge of the affairs of the society, he will accept the protection of the religion and the community; The presence of the people and allegiance to the imam is a proof for him.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him): If it were not for the presence of that crowd and the end of the argument with the presence of the helper, and if God had not taken a covenant from the wise that do not satisfy the satiety of the oppressor and the hunger of the oppressed, I would put the reins of the government’s camel on his shoulder. Accepting his order and command as the order of God and His Messenger is obligatory for everyone:
“And no believing man or woman should have discretion in their work when God and His Messenger command them to do something, and whoever disobeys God and His Messenger has definitely gone astray” (Surah Ahzab, verse 36). Special Leadership

The infallible one who has such a position and rests on the throne of the last prophet of God, according to “the prophet is more important to the believers than themselves” (Surah Ahzab verse 6), has the same legislative authority and guardianship as the final prophet. This dynasty begins after the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad bin Abdullah, with the presence of the holy Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, and continues with the blessed existence of the last executor, Imam Mahdi (may God’s peace be upon them). The expression of this chain of light in the words of Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) appears as follows: Before the death of the Holy Prophet, God Almighty revealed to him a book that was sealed with gold seals and said: O Muhammad, this is your will to all the nobles of your family.
The Holy Prophet asked Gabriel, who are my nobles? Gabriel said: Ali bin Abi Talib and his children, the Holy Prophet of Islam gave that book to the Commander of the Faithful and commanded him: Open one of its seals and act on what is in it. The Commander of the Faithful did so and then gave it to his son Imam. Special Leadership
He also followed the content of the will by opening the seal; Then he handed the letter to Imam Hossein; He also opened his seal and looked at it, in which he wrote: Go out with your group to be martyred, because without you, they will not be martyred, and sell your life to God; He also did the same and after that he handed over the book to Ali bin Hussain, and upon opening the seal related to him, he found that it had been written in it to keep silent; Sit in your house and devote yourself to worshiping your Lord until you die, and he did so. tell people the hadith and give fatwas and do not fear anyone except God, because no one can harm you (until God wills) and he did the same. And finally he handed over the letter to his son Jafar bin Muhammad; By opening the seal related to him, he was commissioned as follows: tell the people of hadith, give fatwas and publish the knowledge of the imams; Acknowledge your righteous fathers and do not be afraid of anyone except God Almighty, because you did the same under His protection and trust and entrusted it to your son Musa bin Jafar, and Musa bin Jafar will entrust it to the imam after him.
