Continuity of guardianship from Ibrahim to Imam Mahdi , Qur’an and Imam are one truth and two revelations
The Qur’an and the Imam are the only truths that have appeared in two forms, and each of these two is the shining gem of the other. But in fact, the Qur’an is the creation of the Imam, and the Imam is the creation of the Qur’an. Therefore, in the position of proof, the Qur’an confirms the Imam and also the Imam expresses the Qur’an. The unity and inseparability of the Qur’an and the Imam have been expressed by the Holy Prophet of Islam in a frequent and famous hadith among all Muslim sects: “I leave among you two precious things: The Book of God (Qur’an) and my Ahl al-Bayt (infallible Imams), and these two things will never be separated until they reach me by the pool of Kauthar (Heaven).Special Leadership (Imamate)
The Imam has all the perfections of the Qur’an, and if any defect is far from the scope of the Qur’an, the Imam is also free from it.
Based on this principle, the scientific and practical path of the Qur’an and the Imam are never separated, as the words, actions and signatures of the infallible Imams are the interpreters of God’s words, and the verses of the Holy Qur’an are the scientific and practical basis of the Imam. The imam never orders something that the Quran forbids and does not prevent something that the Quran likes to be done.Special Leadership (Imamate)
Based on this, the path of guidance can be found and walked neither by the slogan “God’s book is enough for us” nor by following the imam without the Quran. The necessity of the unity of the hadith of Saqlain is to be in the presence of these two divine words, because as stated before, the Qur’an is the compiled word of God and the imam is his creative word.Special Leadership (Imamate)
Manifestations of harmony between the Quran and the Imam
The similarity between the night of Qadr and the half of Sha’ban is a manifestation of the harmony between the Quran and the Imam. Just as on the night of Imam Mahdi’s birth (half of Sha’ban) it is permissible to perform the Nights of Qadr (the night of the revelation of the Qur’an), on the Nights of Qadr it is also permissible to talk about guardianship and Imamate.Special Leadership (Imamate)
In the middle of Sha’ban, by performing the deeds of the night of the revelation of the Qur’an, the hearts of the believers are directed towards it, and on the nights of Qadr, the hearts of the believers are directed towards the imams, by liking the pilgrimage of Imam Hussain and invoking the holy names of the innocents when reciting the Qur’an.Special Leadership (Imamate)
The incomparability of the infallible imams and the unity of the Holy Quran is another manifestation of this harmony. The Qur’an, this book compiled by God is unique in every way, and no other book can ever achieve the same claim as the Holy Qur’an, because it is unique in terms of literature and rhetoric, as well as its content, occult report, and its proofs and absurd and false words have never found their way into his blessed shrine: “No falsehood can enter it from behind or from the front” (Surah al-Foselat, verse 42).

One of the signs of the incomparability of the Holy Qur’an is its claim or challenge: in its verses, the Qur’an challenges several groups who think that this book was issued from a non-divine source or can be forged and simulated and he asks them to bring a similar surah like this Quran or ten surahs to prove their suspicions;
Then, in their inability, he says that if all jinns and humans joined hands, they would not be able to bring a Quran like this: “Say, if all humans and jinn come to bring the like of this Qur’an, they cannot bring the like of it, even if they support each other.Special Leadership (Imamate)
” (Surah Al-Isra verse 88), “And if you doubt what We have revealed to Our servant, then bring a Surah similar to it and call your witnesses other than God (to judge) if you are telling the truth.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 23), “Do they say that he forged this Qur’an? Say, if you are telling the truth, bring ten surahs made similar to it, and call upon whomever you wish besides God. (Surah Hud verse 13)
Recognizing something with another thing is possible when the referent is clearer than the referent in terms of knowledge and equal to it in general and particular, otherwise it is not possible to know something by means of a specific or general concept. In the same way, the edited book of God is blessed to have a likeness to be measured and known by it.

The book of creation of God the Most High (infallible Imams), also that nothing has been equal to them in the level of manifestation of names and divine attributes and will not be equal to them in the intensity of appearance.Special Leadership (Imamate)
There is no one like them and it is not possible to enter into the realm of knowing them by comparing them with others, as the Holy Prophet of Islam said: “None of the servants can be compared to us (Ahl al-Bayt)” and also Imam Ali said: “None of these people can be compared to Muhammad’s Ahl al-Bayt (infallible imams).”
Therefore, in understanding the Qur’an and the infallible imams, it cannot be said that the Qur’an is the same as a certain book, but higher; Or the imam of the age is like a righteous servant of God, but better than him, rather it should be said that the Qur’an is the same imam, but silent; And the imam is the same as the Qur’an, but the speaker. Each one is defined by a different means for someone who is more famous to him.
Quran and imams are the life givers of human societies, as the Quran recognizes the word of God and the call of the beloved Prophet of Islam in this way: “O believers, answer the call of God and the Prophet when they call you to a life-giving message.Special Leadership (Imamate)
” (Surah Anfal, verse 24), therefore, revelation and prophecy are life-giving to human societies, and according to the principle of harmony and unity of the Qur’an and the Imam, it can be understood that responding to the Imam’s call is also a life-giving factor for humans, because according to the hadith of Saqlain, the Imam is in harmony with the Qur’an.
And in no order and stage of the steps and levels of perfection of the Quran, it is not separated from it. As a result, whatever effect is there for the Quran, it will also be fixed for the Imam’s guardianship, and this is the principle of harmony and unity of the Quran and the Imam.
The infallible Imam, the leader of moral ideas and actions
Imam is the leader of people’s beliefs, morals and actions. Every correct belief of every believer is dependent on the Imam’s belief, just as every good character and every good deed of anyone is dependent on the morals and actions of the infallible Imam. The one who prays first is imitating the imam of his time; It means that the imams of the time always perform the prayer at the beginning of the time, such a person has imitated his imam in such an act, just as the person who has good beliefs or good morals has also imitated the imam of his era in his good beliefs and morals.
Imam Reza says, “The believer’s faith is complete when he revives the method of God, the method of God’s Messenger, and the method of God’s guardian in himself. And God’s method is to hide his secret, “He is the Knower of the Unseen, and He does not inform anyone of His Unseen except for a prophet whom He likes for this purpose, who sends watchers in front and behind Him.Special Leadership (Imamate)
” (Surat al-Jin, verses 26 and 27) And the Prophet’s method is to be tolerant with people, and God commanded his prophet to be tolerant with people, “Give forgiveness and enjoin goodness.” (Surah A’raf, verse 199), but his guardian’s method is patience in difficulties and sorrows.

The works of the Imam, the Prophet and God are the models of the people of faith, but the faith of the believer is complete when he sees the works of God, the Messenger and the Imam, and performs them according to his capacity and enthusiasm and brings their method to life in himself. Such a believer must keep the divine method alive in himself, whatever perfection is fixed for God Almighty in an infinite form, the believer can provide it within his limited limit. Of course, what is mentioned in the mentioned narration as “hiding a secret” is an allegory, not a determination: the intention is not that the believer revives only this one method among the divine methods, rather, the revival of this method is an example of conforming to God’s ethics.
It is desirable for a person to learn the good names and divine attributes and to be the embodiment of those names; And since the infallible prophets and imams are the light and guidance of the comprehensive manifestations of the true attributes, it is appropriate for the believer to imitate them and be ascribed to their attributes. to be continued…
